Whew!! I haven’t found any change on my runs lately, that is not since I found change. The irony is not lost on me. And so I change. I have changed buildings for my profession, the grade I teach, I’m mentoring in teaching, changed running plans, changed schools for my daughter, changed cars, changed, changed, changed………..all through it I kept running. I didn’t go far as my schedule changed. I didn’t go fast because my body is changing (I’m getting older), I ran in the dark because the daylight is changing, and I ran by myself because my friend’s life’s are changing too………
I kept on keeping on through the Sault Marathon. Having friends there to cheer me kept me hitting the street every morning at 5am…….I not only didn’t want to let myself down, I didn’t want to disappoint them. I have given myself a month to recover, only running with my Tuesday run club friends. I think I had literally just run out of run.
So, I am one tired Groovy Girl who is just a few days away from the end of the end.
Let’s get ready to run again!
